A nice spot to rest the legs or dodge a shower. As well as admiring the restored thatch and ancient tree. Walk a few yards for some expansive countryside views

Great views in the shadow of Quainton Hill, road is smooth and fast but you will want take it easy and soak up the views

Scenic way to arrive at National Trust Claydon House. Flat smooth grass in summer. You will pass in front of Claydon House and All Saints Church. The National Trust charges to enter Claydon Hose unless you are a member. Claydon court Café and businesses and this bridleway have no entrance fee. More info https://claydonestate.co.uk/

Between East and Botolph Claydon, is this unique thatched shelter built around an ancient tree. There are lovely views of rural Bucks through the gates behind the tree.

Long, steep climb up through the sheep field with a defined track for cyclists. It's grass so likely to be slippery when wet, I rode it on a dry day in the summer. Not technical (I was on a CX bike with mud tyres) but definitely a test for the legs lungs. Worth the effort, the views at the top are stunning and you could be mistaken for being in the Peaks. The Chilterns really is underrated as a UK destination for cycling and walking. The benefit of this is we had the place to ourselves except a few cattle grazing over the other side.
