I had the ham ploughmans. Bread was a bit naff, but there was plenty to eat and the ham and extras were nice. Can get busy but on this occasion it wasn't.

It's a lovely little path but absolutely not a road cycling highlight.

Interesting grade one listed church with well kept churchyard

A early 20th century folly bridge that carries a footpath over one of very few bridleway that are open to cycles int eh Ashdown Forest. It lies at the west end of Chelwood Vachery Forest Garden, which is currently a semi-abandoned, almost wild architectural garden.

This is a really picturesque ford across the river

Twyford takes its name from the two fords in the settlement and this is the lower one of them. Both have concrete bases and are usually shallow so can be safely ridden, although there are footbridge options for anyone that doesn't fancy getting wet.
