It has a great view and is a beautiful castle that has been very well preserved and maintained. A guided tour of the tower is also possible.

Mauterndorf Castle is well to very well preserved in many sections. In addition, several sections have been reconstructed or expanded to make them more stable for visitors. The keep can be viewed right up to the top. A language guide provides extensive information about life in and around the castle. The trade relations are also explained. It is definitely worth seeing. With the Lungau Card, the visit and use of the language guide are free.
