I visited this centre on a Sunday and the cafe was closed... but you could make you own cup of tea or coffee and take a few biscuits for a donation (If you don't have cash, you can pay a donation with a card at the till).

This church of the Old Town Parish in Hastings was constructed in the early 15th century after the previous one on that site was destroyed during the Hundred Years War.
