Kingsway bridge was built in 1934, diverting the A50 to travel further north through Warrington 's suburbs to terminate at Longford Island, giving up Knutsford Road between Latchford Village and Bridge foot to become the A5061, which still remains the primary route today.

The canal is a 36-mile waterway connecting the Mersey Estuary to the Port of Manchester, and Latchford Locks are a set of locks along this route, particularly in Warrington.

Paddington Bank is a great spot to sit or stroll on the River Mersey. It's well paved and connects to other trails to lengthen your route.

Bit overgrown on the single-track...wear long sleeves if possible to avoid being caught by the nettles

Route is a bit rough with a short steep down hill which can be walked. Great views of The River Mersey and Woolston.

Lovely little lake with birds and I assume fish due to the Heron that was spotted!

Lovely eating place. Great food and very accommodating and nice atmosphere.

Have a bell on your bike for using the new cut heritage trail. It is shared between cyclists and walkers especially dog walkers!
