ICONIC VIEW OF THE TELESCOPE

Nice quiet, straight and fairly flat country road. The area is quite agricultural, but there is heath land to the west.

Nice tracks through the woods and around the lake, which was an old quarry.

Avoid when rains heavily as does not drain! (You know it's bad when mini bridges from sticks are placed across swamp puddles!)

Very pleasant walk, quite muddy in places so a great opportunity to justify those expensive walking boots.

Note: this stretch is a woodland footpath, overgrown in places. One for the off-road enthusiast.

I just had to stop here, it's such a lovely spot, with a little bridge, small stream & a mill (that's still got it's wheel turning).

Great pub. Good selection of beer and great food. Gets very busy at weekends. Good outside seating areas in these Covid socially distanced times.

The river is delightfully named The ‘Peover Eye’
