a two part ridge run that requires you to plan each footfall and goes through trees and has plenty of rocks under foot firm but careful also pause to drink in the views of Cheshire on one side and Derbyshire and Staffordshire on the other

Part of a network of lovely quiet almost traffic-free lanes to cycle up in the Cheshire countryside.

Fast up and down over beautiful stream flanked by lovely view and houses

Beautiful swans and geese taking a break next to a smooth country lane

Easily missed by a lovely steam on a smooth country lane

CMTB / National Trust are not even attempting to manage this. The Cloud is being destroyed with bike trails being opened up all over the place. The whole hill will end up a bald hill with no Heather or trees.

There is a parking space at the top of this drive.

Vending machine with free range milk opened 24/7

canal tow path ,can be narrow in places with tree routes but a good steady plod can be had

nearly at the end of the Macclesfield canal with plenty of routes of it ether up or down ,mixed surface with mud and lots of weeds so watch Ur footing

Nice place for a run around esp on sat at parkrun or as a base to run out from ,good solid surface with toilets and a coffee shop

take care on the blind bends if you running and a wicked short climb out

This bridleway gets really mucky especially in winter months. Situated between Tunstall Road and Weathercock Lane

Gnarly section of The Cloud single track. There is a few steps at the start of climbing and the track is interlaced with wooden logs preventing water erosion so you’re required to dismount and push your bike.

Very muddy diluting winter season but doable on either gravel or mtb bike. Fun guaranteed. All you need to add is a bit of drive and eagerness 😉
