St. Pauli Church, which is the nucleus of the city, is located in the south of the historic town center. At the end of the 12th century, Archbishop Philipp von Heinsberg had the city of Soest expanded and fortified. St. Pauli Church was first mentioned in a document in 1229. The Romanesque building was gradually converted from west to east into a Gothic hall church from the middle of the 14th century. Hidden away. There are gravestones in the church itself. Actually, this is not unusual, as people were buried in churches in ancient times.

From Ruhne towards the north there is a nice descent. You can really let the bike roll here, the asphalt is also great. Towards the south you can also manage the climb well, as it is not too steep.
