小さくて美しい展望台からは、野原の良い眺めが楽しめます。2つの展望台があり、例えば鳥の観察に最適です。

Observation tower with a good view of the nature reserve, unfortunately the upper platform is currently not accessible due to vandalism and rotten wood.

The cycle paths around the Möhnesee are in excellent condition. Endless nature on the south side, plenty of places to stop for refreshments (some establishments closed at the beginning of the week) and a constant view of the water.

A really beautiful corner there at the Möhnesee. Lots of space for leisure activities, whether hiking, biking or water sports. Everyone can be happy there. And if not, there are enough restaurants and cafés around the lake. 😜😁

A detour around the Heve Peninsula is definitely worth it. The path is paved throughout, easy to drive on and provides interesting information about the flora and fauna in the region on various display boards. There is even a passenger ship pier for sightseeing trips in the area.

The Ahsewiesen observation tower is very beautiful and offers many information boards and a very nice view. So that you don't disturb the animals and plants too much. It is therefore good to have small binoculars with you on your bike tours. It hardly takes up any space in the luggage bag 🚴😎

From the 9 meter high observation tower on the eastern edge of the Ahsewiesen you have a great view over the "Ahsewiesen" nature reserve. The tower was built as part of the Auenland nature experience project. The Ahsewiesen are an important resting and breeding area for waders and waterfowl.

The Hevearm and Hevesee nature reserve to the south is 320 hectares in size and serves to protect nationally important biotopes as well as rare plant and animal species. From August to April, tens of thousands of waterfowl come here every year, sometimes staying for months. They make the Möhnesee a bird sanctuary of international importance, here the densely wooded nature reserves dominate.
