The hiking trail (Way of St. James) often runs very close to the Löbau River. When it's wet or frozen and there's fallen leaves, you have to be very careful. It's not recommended for everyone.

Unfortunately, there's a construction fence around the ruins, making it officially impossible to visit. The fence has probably been up for a few years. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like anything will change in the foreseeable future.

Ideal for resting right by the water.

This "Lausker Schanze" is notable for the fact that on the top of the rampart there is a romantic ruin built in Gothic style in 1807. This served as an observation tower until the middle of the 20th century, but has since become a "real" ruin.
