Great trail through the woods - magnificent pine trees! Looks like it could get a bit muddy in places if there's been a lot of rain 🌧️ - Great in the dry though! This is a good link as you move on to Laming Gap Lane and then join the bridleway to get you safely over the A46 and journey on to the villages of Kinoulton, Hickling and beyond...🚴👍

Most suitable for Gravel and MTB

I walked this way at the weekend and it is all fenced off now. The fencing is complete with three strands of barbed wire at the top so it seems pretty obvious they want to keep everyone out, but no signs explaining why.

Bad news. They have started fencing off the area where the bomb-hole is to keep people out. Killjoys!

A convenient way to join up a ride to Cotgrave Forest. Quiet roads at both ends, but you do have to cross the main Nottingham to Melton road.

A great place to call in for refreshments and to feed or pet the animals (free for customers). There's no restaurant / cafe as such but you could buy drinks and cakes and eat them in the yard while looking at the goats / peacocks / alpacas etc.

A small bombhole / old quarry (?) with rideable drop-offs down into the hole. There were a number of rope swings set up here when I was there too. Quite muddy in wet weather but still rideable. Probably better in summer.
