This footpath runs on the disused trackbed of the old York to Beverley railway line. It's named after George Hudson, an important figure in the development of railways in the 19th century. The railway was in use between the mid-19th and mid-20th centuries, but due to changing transportation trends the railway closed down, much like many other railway lines in the country. Today, the old railway is a shared-use footpath that provides a scenic walk through pleasant Yorkshire Wolds farmland.

Beverley Minster was constructed in the 13th century and holds the claim of one of the largest parish churches in England. It's a beautiful piece of architecture, often regarded as one of the most stunning Gothic buildings in Europe. Its stained-glass windows are renowned, with some dating back to the 14th century. I'd highly recommend taking a walk inside the building, which is open between 10am-4pm Monday to Saturday.

Although small, the Keldmarsh Nature Reserve is a lush haven for wildlife outside of Beverley.

Here you'll find gorgeous views of Beverley Minster before looping back into Beverley town.

Beverley Minster is one of the largest parish churches in the UK and is a seen as a gothic masterpiece. It is also known as the Parish Church of St John and St Martin. The building as it stands today was completed in the 15th century but there has been a religious site here since 700. St John was buried in the chapel of the saxon church which stood here in the 8th century and the present minster was built around it.
