One of a number of boundary stones along the edge of the Yorkshire Wolds Way in East Dale. This one reads "South end of Hunsley fence". They appear to mark the edge of the Drewton Estate which occupies land to the west.

St. Oswald's has a quite characteristic early 12th century tower that was restored in 1789, with subsequent extensions and restoration through the 19th and 20th centuries. https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1083305

A limestone obelisk decorated with wreaths on all four sides of the base. On the east side are listed the names of the WW1 fallen and one WW2 casualty, while the other sides are lists of those who served. https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1346674

All Saints is a beautiful Grade I listed medieval church built and modified from the thirteenth century onwards, with a few remaining Norman features. Its chief glory is the magnificent East Window by Dr Douglas Strachan, who also designed much of the glass in the neighbouring church of St Oswald in Hotham. Lots of signs around here demarcating private land, however, this is on the intersection of a bridleway (Hunsley High Circuit) running east-west and a public footpath running north from this weir up Drewton Wold.

Fantastic and good quality track along Weedley Dale, running up through East Dale and Hunsley Dale (west to east).

Part of the High Hunsley Circuit, there are a couple of paths running through East Dale and Hunsley Dale and this one is a very pleasant path through the woods, even in the back end of winter, presumably even nicer in summer.

South Cave FBM County of Yorkshire Trig Pillar

Managed by the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust, North Cave Wetlands nature reserve used to be a sand and gravel quarry. It's been rejuvenated in the 21st century and is now a haven for waterbirds and insects. Look out for Avocets, Common Terns and dragonfly.

Great area on The Wolds Way, dependant on season be careful of bulls in fields. There are some goof hotspots for deer in the region.

Great pub in the heart of South Cave, parking is limited during peak hours.

Beautiful little path, so much wildlife, so many noises

Lovely country pub at the end point of stage one of the Yorkshire Wolds Way. Great food and drink.

Can't get too close, there is a bin nearby for rubbish if you need it.

Such a beautiful place. Different colours every time I visit!

Sit under the nice tree nearby and enjoy the view!
