A popular starting point for hikes (parking available) and a recreation area with a barbecue. It's quite unusual to see such a large watchtower. Several smaller Roman watchtowers can be found along the Rhine. One of them is located on the Rhine bank between Koblenz and Bad Zurzach.

The car can be parked at Burstel Möhlin. From there there are beautiful circular hiking trail options, for example via Wallbach along the Rhine back to Möhlin.

In the area of the municipality of Wallbach there are remains of a total of three late antique fortifications. In the case of the Wallbach-Stelli small fortress, archival research and the construction investigations carried out in advance of the renovation of the in situ preserved masonry, which was completed in 2019, provided new information on the construction technology, the construction process and the architectural design of the rising structure.
