Grea views of Trondheimsfjorden from the well-paved road. It's pretty flat so with a good wind you can pick up some decent speed between Flakk and Rye.

The "gammle bybro" (old town bridge) is a historic bridge with red portals and a picturesque view of the old warehouses along the river. It can only be used by cyclists and pedestrians.

The Nidaros Cathedral in Trondheim (old name of the city: Nidaros) is one of the most important churches in Norway, it is considered a national shrine. It was the cathedral of the Norwegian metropolitans since 1152. Because the shrine of Saint Olaf stood behind the high altar, the cathedral was also nicknamed the "Heart of Norway".

Below the cathedral there are catacombs that can be visited.
