Gasthof Vingelsgaard is located at an altitude of 730 meters above sea level. in the old village "Vinnilsgar'n", which is the oldest settlement in Vingelen. This settlement used to be made up of 7 different farms, which lay close to each other by the Vingelsgaard brook, and were called "sjubøndersgar'n" - "Seven Farms". The first written record of the farm dates back to 1528, but probably it has been inhabited for some time.
