This is a beautiful lake on the Finnskogleden long-distance trail. It's a welcome place for a rest and a good swimming spot. There's a lakeside shelter with a grill area too.

Erected in 1914, 'The land of peace' is a monument that pays tribute to 200 years of peace between Norway and Sweden. Nearby is the Peace Bell, which was installed in 2014. The monument marks the start of the Finnskogleden long-distance trail along the Norway/Sweden border.

A spot by the lake where you can dip your feet in the water. Barbecues are prohibited from April 15 to September 15.

Bæreia is a lake located close to Kongsvinger, surrounded by typical forest terrain. The road Bæreiavegen follows part of its shoreline, offering pleasant perspectives and nice views of the landscape.

Many of the bunker positions can be visited with a little climbing.

During World War II, following the German occupation of Norway in April 1940, Sweden built an extensive defense system along the border between Norway and Sweden.

The slide is a great thing

Furniture factory built according to plans by the Danish Bjarke Ingels Group. The cross-shaped building in transparent wood blends wonderfully into the surrounding forest. A large staircase leads to the roof and a long slide leads back down. The outdoor area and the roof with slide are freely accessible.
