We started the walk from the Salavaux village hall and followed the Broye towards the lake. Then we joined the edge of the lake to follow it for one or two kilometers and ended up returning by the Vita trail. A great walk that we like to do out of season.

Murten Castle dates back to the time of Count Peter II of Savoy (1255). Under the portal from 1516, which was rebuilt several times and in its current form dates from 1755, there was a cistern that is now only marked in the paving.
