塔は4月から10月（イースター）まで無休で営業しています。入場は無料です。歩行に障害のある方や高所恐怖症の方は、塔を避けることをお勧めします。昇り降りの階段は1つしかありません。塔の内部の階段でのすれ違いは少し難しいです。外階段は約45段、内階段は約65段あります。高さ30メートルの塔の頂上からの眺めは格別です。塔のふもとには、いくつかのベンチとテーブルがある広々とした牧草地があり、くつろぐことができます。ここには、祭りなどの文化イベントが常に開催されています。（教会を除く）塔の隣には、他に訪れる価値のある建物はありません。

The castle in the hamlet of Balliswil is a country estate of the Montenach family. The largely intact, impressive ensemble of the country estate consists of a manor house, a tenant's house, a chapel and an outbuilding. Three avenues lead to the hamlet. The Tower of Montagny-les-Monts is the remains of an old castle which belonged to Savoy in the 15th century. 30 meters high, it is located in the town of Montagny in the canton of Fribourg. The tower was acquired after the Burgundy Wars in 1478 by Fribourg, it is today managed by Fondation Général de Gady.

Very beautiful old French town with many cafes to linger. Furthermore, on the edge of the old town you have a fantastic view of Lake Murten.
