A 20th-century cross, located just before/after the well-known St. Anne's Chapel at a crossroads. The cross is cataloged by the municipality of Aubel, but without any specifications other than "20th century." The chapel has its own unique highlight.

The Chapelle Sainte-Anne in Aubel is a historic field chapel dating from 1658, located on Eyckerweg northwest of the village center. Dedicated to Saint Anne, the chapel was rebuilt in the early 19th century using brick on a sandstone base, retaining the original 17th-century limestone facade. Inside, there is a wooden altar with a statue of Saint Anne holding a bunch of grapes, a symbol of fertility, and a polychrome statue of the Virgin Mary from the same period.

The Chapel of Wixhou is a Neo-Byzantine chapel dating from 1850. It stands on the site of an older chapel. The name "Wixhou" is possibly derived from the Germanic "wi-hout," meaning "sacred wood." This refers to a story from 1683 in which a woman gathering wood discovered a miraculous statue of the Virgin Mary. This statue, approximately 10 cm high, still stands in the chapel, which is therefore dedicated to Notre-Dame aux Bois-Bénits ("Our Lady of the Sacred Wood"). The chapel became a place of pilgrimage and features two coats of arms above the portal, including the coat of arms of the Argenteau family. The organ in the chapel was regularly played by the famous composer Franz Liszt, who was a guest at the nearby Château de Argenteau. The chapel is owned by the Van Zuylen family, residents of that castle. The neo-Byzantine decor and the historical ties with the Argenteau and Van Zuylen families give the chapel a special cultural value.

A new project for the old Chaudfontaine swimming pool, ravaged by the catastrophic floods of July 2021. When the decision was made not to rebuild it and to demolish what remained, the municipality wanted to create an aquatic, thermal, and fun entertainment center for families. Two public procurement procedures were launched, but no investors came forward. The municipality therefore had to revise its plan. The initial project has been adjusted. "We are now moving towards a leisure park with play areas for children and areas dedicated to the hospitality industry so that families can spend quality time together all year round," explains Laurent Radermecker, Chaudfontaine's alderman for tourism and thermal baths. "This type of concept is found on the Belgian coast, particularly in Knokke. This project will complement the municipality's tourist offerings, in the immediate vicinity of the new Source O Rama building and the Château des Thermes." This time, it will be a public-private partnership. The municipal authorities hope to see this family leisure park project completed before the end of the legislative term.
