Old Road of the Val di Non

The Biotopo Foci dell'Avisio near Lavis is a nature reserve along the Avisio River, easily accessible from the bridge area in Lavis. The route is ideal for exploring by bike, following the flat cycle paths along the river. The area encompasses wet meadows, alluvial forests, and riparian zones that provide habitat for numerous animal species, including yellow-bellied toads, cormorants, kingfishers, and common sandpipers. Information panels along the cycle path provide information about the flora and fauna, making the tour both sporty and educational. The flat, well-maintained route makes the approach pleasant and offers a picturesque view of the biotope directly from the bridge area.

Small and charming

it's crazy downhill in the direction of Salzeno (maybe -16% or -17%?) and the tarmac condition is poor. have good brakes: i have good brakes but decided to walk this part. it ends in a steep curve with a mining corp full of trucks road, so not a good idea to let brakes go. stay safe
