The sculptures stand along the bike path in Lizzana and depict metal cyclists in dynamic poses. They were created by Swiss artist Andrea Malär and appear to blend harmoniously into the surrounding landscape. The Lago di Loppio Biotope is a nature reserve on the former bed of Lake Loppio, which was drained in 1958. A diverse wetland with meadows, fens, limestone cliffs, and forests has developed over approximately 113 hectares, providing a habitat for numerous amphibians, reptiles, and protected bird species. The area is particularly attractive for cyclists: the surrounding area is easy to explore by bike, and the cycle paths offer repeated, beautiful views of the biotope, nature, and the surrounding landscape of the Vallagarina Valley.
