The Grosseckbahn is definitely worth a trip with the Lungau Mobility Card outside of peak tourist season. This makes rides free.

The hike along the Taurach River is an excellent introduction to hiking in the region. It doesn't get any easier ;-) And the clear mountain stream flowing alongside the trail is mentally liberating.

The Twenger Alm operates a traditional mountain farm with Pinzgau dairy cows and Tauernschecken goats, producing hand cheese, pine syrup, farmer's doughnuts, alpine curd cake, bacon, sausage and much more from its own production.

The parking lot is easily accessible via a gravel road. From there, hiking and cycling routes, such as Tweng, begin. Restrooms are available. Overnight stays are not permitted.
