ベルクフェルト近郊のパビリオン（シェルター・ベルクフェルトとも呼ばれることが多い）は、ギフホルン郡の北部を目指すサイクリストやハイカーにとって、まさに穴場スポットです。ドレムリング生物圏保護区の端という戦略的に有利な場所に位置し、この地域で最も広大な景色のひとつを望むことができます。

ビッケルシュタイン休憩所は、ウィッティンゲン、クネセベック、ボイツェンハーゲンの各村のほぼ中間に位置する、クネセベッカー・フォルストの深い森の中にある、伝説と歴史に彩られた場所です。

The Bickelstein is a huge granite block that looks like an armchair. There are 7 crosses and 7 horseshoes carved into it. According to a legend, these come from the 30 Years' War.

Location of the Justus Oak planted in 2011, hopefully it will develop into a stately tree that will delight generations to come.

Great starting point for hikes on the circular route, it is not far from here to the Bickelstein, which gives it its name. The information board reveals other highlights of the region.

Description of the Südheide Gifhorn: The Bickelstein is a 2.5 meter long and 1.2 meter high Ice Age boulder made of reddish granite with markings similar to a horseshoe and a cross. It is located in the forest area of the Bickelsteiner Heide. The stone is the most famous boulder in the Gifhorn-Wolfsburg area and the landmark of the Ehra-Lessien community. It is located in a 30-meter clearing in the pine forest east of the state road 288 from Ehra to Boitzenhagen on a sand place with a thin border made of heather, wire smear and lingonberry on an elevation about five meters higher.
