nice single track to get there, spectacular 360° landscape

Very nice village. Meeting point for many cyclists, hikers, climbers and motorcyclists. The square with the pine tree where the inhabitants meet after lunch or dinner for a chat, perhaps accompanied by a glass. At the bar you can find food to calm the hunger after sports and an excellent coffee. Narrow and picturesque alleys. More populated in summer but also in winter there is life. I love this place.

An exceptional example of thermal inversion, in this closed and cold valley the beech is found at 700 m above sea level, when usually beech forests are found at 1000 m above sea level.

Located on the path that goes from Castelletta up to Poggio S. Romualdo, it marks the transition between two very different environments: you leave the open and panoramic scree slope towards S Giovanni and move on to the closed and majestic beech forest.
