Gondola lift takes some getting used to. Something between a chairlift and a cable car...some of the gondolas are also designed as small cabins. Only 2 people fit in, plus a backpack or dog.

The Monte Sasso del Ferro is because of its cool summer breeze and its mild winter temperatures an ideal destination for pleasant excursions and quiet weekends in the silence of the green forests. The ride with the cable car takes about 15 minutes. At the valley station there is a bar, restaurant, hotel and shops with typical products and souvenirs. The take-off point for hang-gliders and paragliders is at the mountain station of the cable car. Great panoramic spot on the below valley, the lake and the alps. A hiking trail starts from here and returns to Vararo, it's possible to ride it with the mtb but you'll have to push it in some spots and there are a lot of rocks, i.e. not much enjoyable and definitely not recommended to amateurs.

Lake Maggiore lends itself to excellent rides.
