Arcumeggia is a fraction of Casalzuigno and is located in the province of Varese. It is located at an altitude of 567 meters. Arcumeggia is known as the painted village: in 1956, in fact, the province of Varese asked around thirty artists to represent local habits and customs on the walls of the houses. It is still possible to walk in the historic center of Arcumeggia appreciating some of the first murals in artistic history.

Monte San Martino, at an altitude of 1,087 metres, is reached via an often tortuous road that starts in Cuveglio and passes through the small town of Duno. Monte San Martino is home to the church of San Martino in Culmine and boasts spectacular views of Lake Maggiore. The Cadorna line passed through this area during the First World War. In the Second World War the partisans fought a bloody battle here in 1943. Various hiking trails start from Monte San Martino.
