Calcata vecchiaに到着し、Triejaの谷に降りたい方へ。一部のツアーで示されている、道ではないトレイルを下ることは強くお勧めしません。これは、自転車を担いで、しかも楽ではない歩行者用の下り道です。主要な舗装道路に沿って下りてください。

トレイルの始まりにある素晴らしい滝

If you ask about Chiesa San Michele Arcangelo, no one in Formello knows it. Yet if you ask for "S. Angelo," everyone will point it out to you without hesitation. And in fact, that's what you'll also find written on the old yellow sign that stands right under the stunning Romanesque bell tower. Of Romanesque design, there is documentary evidence of it dating back to the 12th century, and it stood along the Via Francigena. Actually operational until 1800, along with the nearby San Lorenzo, it was then compromised by collapses due to adverse weather conditions. Despite continuing to be used into the 20th century, it was closed in a deplorable state of abandonment. A layer of whitewash had already covered what had been spared by the Baroque renovations, resulting in the structure visible today. This was removed at the beginning of the new millennium, revealing a marvelous cycle of frescoes, perhaps from the school of Antoniozzo Romano, the same artist who painted the Bessarione Chapel in the Basilica of the Twelve Holy Apostles. The frescoes depict scenes from the life of Saint Michael (with an unusual and unprecedented reference to the Divine Comedy).
