マセル製粉所（マイルナーシュロイト製粉所としても知られる）は、マイルナーシュロイトの中心部にある歴史的なランドマークです。この名前は、1709年から2011年までの300年以上にわたり、製粉所を所有していたマイスル家（以前は「マセル」とよく綴られていた）に由来しています。製粉所は1398年に初めてLandbuch Aに文書で言及されており、この地域で最も古い場所の1つとなっています。現在の本館は、寄棟屋根を持つ立派な2階建ての砂岩の箱型の建物です。ファサードには1846年の年号が記されていますが、建物の中心部は明らかにそれよりも古いです。元々は水車で動く古典的な穀物製粉所として運営されていました。20世紀には、技術が近代化され、タービン駆動に切り替えられました。製粉用の製粉業務は、20世紀後半に停止されました。Roten Main川沿いの多くの製粉所と同様に、マセル製粉所も現在では水力発電による再生可能エネルギーの生成に使用されています。

A great spot for a break right on the cycling and hiking trail. The kiosk offers a relaxed atmosphere with a beer garden and a view of the bathing lake. We especially recommend the regional museum beer, the homemade cakes and tarts, and the savory snacks. Open from 11 am to 7 pm, Tuesday to Sunday, from May onwards. Closed on Mondays. Shorter opening hours apply in winter.

A mill "at the stone house" was first mentioned in 1316. This is the first documented mention of the place. The mill, of which only a few walls remain today, was twice destroyed by major fires. In September 1923, a fire broke out on the top floor of the then state-of-the-art mill. The local fire brigades tried to request a motorized pump from Kulmbach – unfortunately, their calls went unanswered, and the delay led to the complete destruction of the mill's equipment. After the major fire, the mill was modernized again by the owners in 1958. Then, in July 1962, another major fire broke out. When the fire brigades arrived, several parts of the mill were already engulfed in flames. Despite the valiant efforts of the firefighters and the use of a new turntable ladder, the mill burned to the ground.

Great beer garden and event pub at the brewery

Design: This is a handcrafted, approximately two-meter-high panoramic heart made of steel, bearing the inscription "Görauer Anger." Function: The structure serves as a selfie spot and picture frame for the Jura landscape. It is equipped with a rotating seat. Location: The sculpture is located on the Görauer Anger, a scenic plateau on the edge of the Swabian Alps, offering views of the Kulmbach region and Plassenburg Castle.
