Beautiful view and spectacular beech forest passages

The climb is a little longer than coming from the other side, but not quite as steep. Border crossing 🇮🇹🇨🇭 in Indemini to Alpe Neggia. Beautifully situated in the valley with lots of nature and small villages.

The view into the valley of Lake Maggiore is more than deserved after the strenuous climb ⛰️🚲👍

If you don't want to use the tunnels between Luino and Maccango, you can easily drive around them.

Super great serpentines, some with 180 degree bends. Very little car traffic. Some short steep climbs, but mostly still easy to ride, depending on the activity

Maccagno is a small town of 2,000 inhabitants located on the Lombard shore of Lake Maggiore, in the province of Varese. The history of Maccagno dates back to medieval times. Maccagno still occupies an important geographical position as the road starts from here which, passing through the Neggia Alp, arrives in Gambarogno, in Switzerland.
