Cannigione SS, Sardinia on the Golfo di Arzachena The small town of Cannigione is about five kilometers from the popular Costa Smeralda and has just under 800 inhabitants. A fishing village was founded here in the 19th century and gradually developed into a larger settlement. Cannigione is now one of the most popular holiday resorts on the Italian island of Sardinia. The great sandy beach in the bay of the Golfo di Arzachena is ideal for a family vacation because it slopes gently into the sea and thus allows children to swim safely. Inside the protected area of the Capo Figari promontory there is Cala Moresca, a small enchanting inlet, with two beaches of fine golden sand that contrasts with the emerald sea. The strips of sand are interspersed with rock formations that emerge from the water and overlook the island of Figarolo, whose characteristic pyramidal shape stands out on the horizon. This uncontaminated bay of great naturalistic value can be reached by leaving the car in a car park located a few hundred meters from the shore.

Hike through beautiful nature. Unfortunately, the GPS often breaks down. The path is still easy to see. But the round trip is much longer than it is recorded. Depending on your pace, it takes 3.5 to 4 hours. The path is very rocky in places and can only be mastered with a few climbing sections. Good shoes and poles are recommended. Avoid it when it's wet! Great view of the coastal landscape, the pools of water also have their charm. The descent to the waterfall is tough. A worthwhile hike! The journey by car to the parking lot is doable, but it is a challenge. Lots of potholes and stones, only a few parts are concrete. There is a shuttle from the base station, but only early in the morning and in the afternoon.
