Very beautiful and unexpected

The sanctuary, formed by the oratory of San Giuseppe and the parish church of Santa Maria Annunziata, is located in the hamlet of San Giovanni in Persiceto called Le Budrie, birthplace of Clelia Barbieri. The saint, who died in 1870 at just 23 years old, is remembered above all for her model of young holiness placed in the environment of the rural parish, and for her dedication not only to the assistance of the poor and sick, but also to education, to work and teaching in society, as a phenomenon of female resurgence. Every year, on 13 July, the anniversary of her death, the patronal feast dedicated to the saint takes place.

The Manzolino Oasis is a protected natural area that is home to numerous species of plants and animals. Access to the area is possible through various hiking trails and a visitor center that organizes educational activities and guided tours.

The work is titled "A thousand red poppies" and was created by the famous street artist Alice Pasquini, aka Alicè. The artist is dedicated to portraying women in everyday, emotional moments, in atmospheres far from the woman-object stereotype.

San Giovanni in Persiceto is a well-preserved historic center (and it is the village that gave birth to the famous basketball player Marco Belinelli, NBA champion). The streets have a concentric shape that finds its fulcrum in the main square.
