9月 28, 2024, Rifugio Col Visentin
An old hut that values being a restaurant. We enjoyed it.

9月 13, 2024, Rifugio Col Visentin
The Rifugio Col Visentin offers a 360-degree panoramic view of the mountains of Belluno and Treviso, with the possibility of seeing the sea on clear days. Reachable in about two hours of walking from the "La Casera" parking lot, it is a wonderful place, perfect for a regenerating stop with delicious sandwiches, managed by friendly and cordial guys.

8月 27, 2024, Sentiero 1033 – Strada dei Cavai
The “Strada dei Cavai” (CAI trail sign no. 1033) is one of the two paths that connect the town of Revine to the Pian de le Femene saddle. It is usually used as a descent route to complete a circular itinerary with the “Strada delle Musse” (CAI trail sign no. 1032), used for the ascent. In this case, the path branches off from the crest ridge under Monte Cor, near Casere Frescon. It continues downhill on a forest road, making a few hairpin bends, and then joins a steep and impervious track that cuts across Via San Francesco several times. Once in Lama delle Crode, where the Madonna della Neve Church is located, it runs alongside the Col de Pel huts and then descends, with passages on a cobblestone surface, again to the San Francesco da Paola Sanctuary. It is so called because it follows the wide cart track widened and adapted by Napoleonic troops to allow the passage of cavalry.

8月 27, 2024, Sentiero delle Musse
The “Strada delle Musse” (CAI trail sign no. 1032) is one of the two paths that connect the town of Revine to the Pian de le Femene saddle. It begins near the Sanctuary of San Francesco da Paola, on the edge of the castle (escarpment) of Monte Frascon, an ancient fortification from the Lombard-Byzantine era, now a private residence. This ancient path, partially surrounded by dry stone walls, climbs steeply into the woods, encountering the ruins of old farmhouses. At an altitude of 800 m, with a short detour, you can reach the remains of another ancient fortress, Castegna Maor, now swallowed up by the woods. After passing the service road, the trail enters the impervious Valon dei Pavei and then reaches Pian de le Femene (1,125 m.a.s.l.), right in front of the Alpine refuge of the same name. It is so called because the initial section has a mule track paved with large boulders where once wood and hay were transported down the valley. Even today you can see the grooves left by the large wooden sleds (musse) used for this work. Today it looks like the bed of a stream with its large stones (slabs) that constituted the pavement, now eroded and unseated from their place. Usually this path is used as an uphill route to complete a loop with the “Strada dei Cavai” (CAI signpost no. 1033), used for the descent.

Nice quiet place on Lake Lago with seating and pedal boats, a jetty was sunken when I was there.

4月 13, 2024, Rifugio Col Visentin
It is a refuge that is always open on weekends, where you can only get there on foot or by bicycle, from whose summit you can admire the valley of the Treviso and Venetian provinces down to the sea (on clear days) and the Belluno valley up to the Dolomites! The welcome is warm so... definitely worth a visit!

Nice ride, especially in the low season, in some points the passage is not very wide and if there are pedestrians it becomes uncomfortable

9月 13, 2022, Rifugio Col Visentin
Col Visentin is a mountain in the Belluno Pre-Alps between the provinces of Belluno and Treviso. With its 1,763 meters of altitude it dominates the steep side of the Val Lapisina. From its summit the horizon sweeps 360 degrees: from the nearby Monte Pizzoc to the chain of mountains of the Alpago, the Gulf of Trieste and the Venice lagoon, up to the Euganean Hills. On its summit, unfortunately crowded with antennas and repeaters, stands the V Artiglieria Alpina Refuge (www.rifugiocolvisentin.net).

The sanctuary of San Francesco da Paola is one of the main places of interest in Revine. Built between 1677 and 1702 on a crag of Mount Frascon at the behest of the then parish priest Don Giovanni Domenico Cumano, it can be reached via a path accompanied by a Via Crucis marked by ancient chapels, containing bas-reliefs and paintings that have been lost. From the end of the eighteenth century until the first half of the nineteenth, the oratory was inhabited by hermits and became a destination for pilgrimages and popular devotion, especially in times of epidemics.

Located between col de Moi (1358 m) and Monte Cimone (1290 m), it is a modest saddle probably originated from the transfluence of a branch of the Piave glacier, which connected the main axis of Valbelluna to the secondary one. of the Trevigiana Valley
