Challenging climb but beautiful view

Isola Fossara is a fraction of the municipality of Scheggia and Pascelupo. It is surrounded by the magnificence of Mount Catria. The town boasts ancient origins, with traces of Umbrian populations and rich testimonies such as the abbey of Santa Maria di Sitria, founded by San Romualdo in 1014.

Coldipeccio is a small hamlet of Scheggia and Pascelupo, in the province of Perugia. Ideal starting point for excursions in the Monte Cucco Regional Park.

The Valle delle Prigioni trekking, starting from Coldipeccio, offers an immersive experience in uncontaminated nature rich in varied flora, with paths that are part of the Sentiero Italia and the Ring of Janus.
