Castello di Cigognola（Cicognolaと検索されることが多い）とその有名なBelvedereは、Oltrepò Paveseで最も象徴的な歴史的・景観的複合施設の一つです。Cigognola（パヴィーア）の標高309メートルに位置するこの施設は、Valle Scuropassoの平野への出口を戦略的に見下ろしています。晴れた日には、公共のBelvedereからパヴィーアからミラノまで広がる素晴らしい景色を望むことができ、アルプス山脈全体やモンテ・ローザまで見渡すことができます。

Cicognola offers a splendid castle and an equally interesting panoramic point on the hills of the Oltrepò Pavese. Stop in this small town for a break and to admire its beauties.

One of the most beautiful castles in the Oltrepo.

In a high-altitude position, on top of a fortress and in a strategic position on the Scuropasso Valley. During the Middle Ages it had a defensive function and control of the traffic towards Emilia. It was built in the first decades of the 13th century.

The building dates back to the beginning of the 13th century. It belonged to the Sannazzaro family, to the Beccaria family from 1406, to Giorgio Aicardi from 1415, later called Visconti Aicardi Scaramuzza. In the eighteenth century it passed to Barbara D'Adda and then to her son Alberico Barbiano di Belgioioso. Under Napoleon, the assets were bought by the Gazzaniga: from these they passed to the Arnaboldi Gazzaniga, then to the Brichetto Arnaboldi.
