Unfortunately, Lake Carezza is always very busy. But you can park easily here and start many different hikes from here.

Great destination, but you can't expect peace and quiet here. The lake is very busy.

The Christomannos eagle is a large artistic work in bronze, dedicated to Theodor Christomannos, the Austrian considered one of the pioneers of tourism in the Dolomites. It is a majestic eagle about three meters high positioned in a wonderful panoramic point: from here, in fact, at an altitude of 2,300 metres, you can see a beautiful piece of Val di Fassa and above all the Pale di San Martino and the Marmolada in all their beauty.

Unfortunately, the lake is being heavily marketed. Coaches and 2 large parking spaces ensure mass tourism. The souvenir shop, toilet and underpass are made of solid reinforced concrete. Doesn't fit with the natural idyll. 👎 Too bad. The lake, the trees and the beautiful mountains are great.

The Bletterbach is a watercourse located in the area of the municipality of Aldine and forms the Bletterbach gorge at the foot of the 2,316 m high Corno Biano, also known as the "Grand Canyon of South Tyrol". The gorge, which was formed about 15,000 years ago in the ice age, is about eight kilometers long and 400 meters deep. It has been slowly sculpted by water erosion, making different sedimentary layers visible. In addition to the geological interest, the Bletterbach Gorge offers a unique landscape. It is impressive to walk between the steep walls of the gorge. Access is allowed only with a protective helmet and the entrance to the park is paid but it's worth it.
