The gorge is simply magnificent.
If it has rained enough, I recommend going to the end. The waterfalls are just beautiful. But sure-footedness is an advantage.

The Bletterbach is a brook in the area of the Regglberg municipality of Aldein in South Tyrol. At the foot of the 2317 m high Weißhorn it forms the Bletterbach Gorge, which is also known as the “Grand Canyon of South Tyrol”. The gorge was formed about 15,000 years ago in the Ice Age, is about 8 km long and 400 m deep. It is known for the numerous fossil finds and the various rock layers of the Dolomites.

I can only recommend a guided tour through the Bletterbach Gorge. There are information signs, but they do not replace the trained eye of the guide.

Who has the Bolzano card, pays nothing. We had thought that you only come in with leadership. We left this after an hour. If you are traveling with children, the guide is very worthwhile! It was too slow for us and the explanations are not new with good knowledge of geology. All in all - great day

Grand Canyon in small - but exciting and beautiful. If you get there early and reserve online, you will also get a guide who explains everything wonderfully.
Tip: Bring your own helmet, helmets are mandatory.
