エムス川沿いの素晴らしい整備された道です。ただし、かなり狭いため、お互いに配慮が必要です。

The old rectory in Schapen was built in 1739. Today it serves as a meeting place, educational center, and exhibition space. The attic houses an exhibition about the "Tödden"—itinerant merchants from the region—as well as about the Schapen coin hoard. Guided tours are available upon request (phone: +49 5458 98510; email: schapen@spelle.de). However, the complex is well worth a visit even without a guided tour. In addition to the former rectory, the grounds include a former brewery (now used for weddings), a blacksmith's shop built in 2012, and a bakehouse from 2020 where "Schapen Bishop's Bread" is baked. Right next door is the community park with a pond, paths, seating, a pétanque court, and a small playground. It's a place that invites visitors to linger.

The Ems Festival in summer is a highlight.

The Ems river promenade in Rheine, especially the area in the city center, has been greatly enhanced in recent years as part of the city center master plan in order to improve the quality of life and to integrate the Ems more strongly into urban life.
