A destination for walkers, cyclists and sport fishermen, with a perimeter of over six kilometers, Pietrafitta lake is today a popular destination for excursions and was also the venue for the world carp fishing championships for several years.

The Nestore is a tributary of the River Tiber. It was born at 559 m s. l.m. in the municipality of Monteleone d'Orvieto, in the province of Terni. It then reaches the municipalities of Città della Pieve, Panicale, Piegaro, Perugia and Marsciano, in the province of Perugia. It flows into the Tiber in the locality of Ammeto, in the municipality of Marsciano, at 184 m a.s.l. l.m.

Turning south, after a few meters there is a small path that leads to the Montegiove Castle, a few steps from here. There it is also possible to buy oil and wines of own production and there is also the possibility of staying overnight at the castle.
