Always worth a trip

Excellent alternative to avoid the tunnel, all asphalted.

The Faschina Road (L 193) is a state road in Austria. It is 38.6 km long and runs from Nüziders on the Ill River to Au on the Bregenzer Ach. A large part of the route runs through the Großes Walsertal Valley. The state road is named after the Faschinajoch Pass, the highest point on the route at 1,486 m above sea level. Wikipedia

A beautiful, approximately 21-kilometer climb from Thüringen to the Faschinajoch. One of several routes to the top. The first few kilometers are quite tough, but shortly after St. Gerold, things ease off a bit. The real challenge, however, awaits towards the end – be sure to save enough energy for that!

Located directly on the Flexenpass at the bus stop.

Great pass, definitely stop and enjoy the view of the mountains. Don't forget to bring your lights because of the tunnels and galleries on both sides of the pass
