Vine glow in the vineyards of Hohenlohe

There are a few benches for resting here; otherwise, it's a quiet stretch along the Sulm river.

The viewpoint overlooking the Lindelberg vineyards offers a wide, open view across the gently rolling vineyard slopes around Bretzfeld and Wernersberg. The vineyards stretch in long lines up the hillside, giving the landscape a clear structure that glows in different colors depending on the season – from fresh spring green to golden autumn hues.

The Fürst Hohenlohe-Oehringen winery is idyllically nestled among vineyards and rolling hills on the outskirts of Öhringen. This historic estate is one of the region's most traditional wineries and is renowned for its biodynamically produced wines. Its location amidst the sea of vines is particularly impressive: from here, sweeping views open up across the Hohenlohe landscape, which glows in a variety of colors depending on the season.

St. Kilian's Church in Sülzbach was built around the year 800 and is thus considered the mother church of the Weinsberg Valley. Originally, it was a fortified church, as the tower dates back to around 1200, when it also served as a defensive tower. The nave, however, was built between 1616 and 1619. Inside, the ceiling is a coffered design, with each of the 210 panels featuring a different motif. In the churchyard, against the southern wall, stands a replica of the penitential cross erected by Michael Beheim. Beheim, born in 1416, was the mayor of Sülzbach, a Meistersinger (a type of singer), a chronicler, and a soldier. He was likely murdered by highwaymen around 1474 on the road to Lehrensteinsfeld.
