First mentioned in 1054, the medieval church dedicated to Saint George the Martyr, dependent on the Abbey of San Michele della Chiusa, became the parish seat of the Diocese of Parma after 1564. Completely rebuilt in Baroque style in the early 18th century, its interior was decorated around 1960. The place of worship preserves several valuable works, including the altarpiece depicting Saint George Slaying the Dragon, painted in the 17th century by Francesco Monti, known as "il Brescianino." the footbridge connects Torrile, on the left bank of the Parma stream, with the rural houses located on the opposite bank.

A 2019 art installation by Giuseppe "Giupi" Boles: a large "window" framing sunsets over the Po. It is located in the Lido Po Park, in the floodplain area facing the city: a perfect resting point for those cycling along the riverbank, with an open view of the river, floodplains, and riparian forests. In summer, the "La Baia" bar is open just a few dozen meters away; there is parking and access to the trails of the Golena del Po Intermunicipal Park.

Some time ago this stretch was a single track and was in the grass. Nice now... it was nice before too
