A good starting point for hikes on Monte Arista. Easily accessible from the lakeside road via a paved path. Parking is available.

At this panoramic point, on the slopes of Mount Arista and not far from the mouth of the Pelau River, you can observe a splendid stretch of the coast of eastern Sardinia. The beach in front of you, moreover, is a great place for a swim.

Between Mount Arista and the mouth of the Pelau River, a long beach stretches for several hundred meters and is perfect for a dip in the sea and enjoying some tranquility. Here you are in the municipality of Cardedu, in the province of Nuoro.

This beach is amazing. The sand is fine, but as you get closer to the sea, it turns into small pebbles. The water is crystalline blue. The beach is a little less crowded than others in the area, so it's a good option to take a break before continuing your trek.

This is a great place to take a break or a picnic, whether you're just crossing or hiking to the top of Mount Arista. It is very well maintained and equipped. There are also some nice shady spots. I highly recommend it.

The Marina di Cardedu is a stretch of the Ogliastra coast, 8 kilometers of uninterrupted beach, which given its extension is never too crowded. Here the cycle path ends with a walkway on the cliff where you can stop and admire the view.
