The castle dates back to the 14th century, with later updates. Today it is a private villa, open to the public six days a year: if you don't end up there on one of those days (the last Sunday of the month from May to October) it still offers a nice view from the outside. In its immediate vicinity is the church of San Bernardino, a typical brick building between Baroque and Neoclassical, with a beautiful elliptical rose window. The square in front is pedestrianised, with a water point nearby.

On the main road of Sommariva towards Canale and Caramagna, it is one of the 11 churches included in the town. Simple neoclassical construction with a two-level facade (brick at the bottom, plastered at the top): nothing transcendental, but pleasant.

Officially "Church of the Santissima Annunziata and San Vincenzo", but known as "San Domenico" as it was originally founded by the Dominicans. The current church is from the seventeenth century, with a slightly later facade between baroque and neoclassical, and remains a little outside the actual historic center.
