サクロ・モンテ・ディ・グラリアは、ビエッラ県グラリアにあるプレアルプス地方の場所で、県都の西わずか数キロに位置しています。モムバローネのより雄大な頂の谷側にあり、アオスタ渓谷との境に近いです。主に同名の聖域（海抜812メートル）があり、黒い聖母に捧げられ、マルケ州のロレートの聖母の崇拝に関連しています。したがって、これは16世紀頃からピエモンテとロンバルディアの間で広まった、一般的な民衆のマリア信仰とキリスト教信仰を特徴づけるプレアルプス地方の巡礼地のシステムの一部であり、例えば、近くのソルデヴォロ村でのキリストの受難の再現や、サクロ・モンテ・ディ・アローナ、サクロ・モンテ・ディ・オロパ、サクロ・モンテ・ディ・ヴァラッロ、サクロ・モンテ・ディ・ギッファなどの同様の場所があります。

As Stefano wrote above, the town is built with the mountain techniques of the past centuries: stone and lime. If you are also a good eater, you cannot ignore the recipe for "zuppa di ajucche" from Valchiusella, a traditional dish of the region, made with a wild herb called "ajucche" (or "ajucche" in the local dialect). The typical recipe involves cooking bread, ajucche, and a mature mountain cheese, in overlapping layers, and then moistened with the cooking water of the herbs...

It is a very suggestive and cool road in summer. I can definitely say that I have never found traffic there. Absolutely recommended...
