Part farm and part villa, the historic building facing the Italian garden in Travalle, in the countryside east of Prato, has over 400 years of history. It is located in the municipality of Calenzano and is used, nowadays, mostly as a venue for weddings and business meetings.

Saint Lawrence / "San LORENZO", to whom this church above Querce is dedicated, is one of the early Christian martyrs from a time when Christianity was still forbidden. He was the Pope's archdeacon and was asked by the pagan emperor Valerian to hand over the church's treasure. Lawrence asked for three days, during which he distributed the church's assets among the poor inhabitants of Rome and, after the agreed time, came to the emperor with the poor to present them to him as the church's treasure. He was then tortured to death. Legend has it that he was roasted alive on a grill - this attribute can be seen in many depictions of Saint Lawrence - over coals. He is said to have been in good spirits and asked his executioner if he would turn him over. The memorial day of San Lorenzo in the calendar of saints is August 10th.

The Church of San Lorenzo is located on the old road to Travalle, in Pizzidimonte, a cluster of houses attached to the south coast of Poggio Secco, right above the village of Querce. The origin dates back to the 13th century, although it has been remodeled several times.

This bridge is one of the accesses to Piazza Mercatale which is the largest square in Prato and is located in the historic center, it is considered one of the largest medieval squares in Europe. The square owes its name to the weekly market which was held there until the 1970s.
