That's the disadvantage on flat terrain when there's no slipstream. I cycled to Denmark once, exactly once! 🤮 Even the strongest wind here is just a gentle breeze! The Lech plain is quite wide, about 20km from the western forests to the Lechhöhenweg. I've been mountain biking from Kaufering to Schwabmühlhausen for over two years. Before Hurlach, as soon as you leave the edge of the forest, you'll encounter the first bump, and after Hurlach > Schwabmühlhausen, at the latest, there's no slipstream. Some days on the smallest chainring, you feel like you'll never get anywhere.

Such farm roads were originally built for farmers! Motorcycles and cars are prohibited there. Most people don't have a problem with it 🚴‍♂️🚴‍♂️
