nice bridge, not the original but very nice

Medieval humpback bridge, formed by three arches, of which the central one is very wide and high. It was built on the ruins of an ancient Roman bridge which was destroyed following a flood in 1640. In the second half of the 18th century it was rebuilt by the Casalini family. It was called della Signora because at that time she was a noblewoman at the head of the family. The original name of the magnificent bridge is that of San Donato due to the proximity of an ancient church of the monks of Gamogna, now disappeared. A legend has it that in ancient times, this Lady went out and crossed the bridge on horseback every evening to observe her lands. One evening the horse slipped, the lady fell into the river with the horse and died. Since then it is said that on full moon nights at one o'clock his ghost appears on the deck, dressed in black and with a bloody face.
