Streams, gorges, waterfalls, caves and cool pools to dive into and large, flat, smooth rocks where you can sunbathe while being lulled by the sound of the flowing water, amplified by the natural acoustics, making it sound like a scream.

At the end of the trail, meet up on the Gorgolaio bridge, and it's a must to stop and admire the beauty of this place... a happy oasis in the summer.

Absolutely worth a visit. It feels like being in a fairytale world.

This is a very nice tour. Quite steep going up and the path sometimes disappears but with common sense you will find it back. The landslide was a bit of an issues at first. Make sure you follow the red/white signs on the tree and go up to the left. From there is is easier to cross. Be carefull though.

Of course, very easy. It can be reached very well by bike.

This location takes its name from the erosive phenomenon caused by the Rabbi river, in fact at this point the waters of the river have cut the rock on which they flowed into three parts, creating two small waterfalls. Below them a wonderful natural swimming pool has formed, ideal for a refreshing swim in the warmer months.

Premilcuore, like many other villages in the area, experienced its period of maximum expansion around the 13th and 14th centuries under the dominion of the Guidi family. In this period the castle known as Rocca di Premilcuore was built, today not much remains of this structure except one of the doors and remains of the walls incorporated into other buildings in subsequent periods. The life of Premilcuore is linked to the course of the Rabbi river. Today the river is a popular summer destination to escape the heat, while in the past the watercourse served to irrigate the surrounding fields and gave power to various mills in the area, two of which are still visible near the town.

A truly beautiful route, especially if done in spring, full of colours, streams and waterfalls. The forest will accompany you for most of the route. It requires some training given the duration and altitude difference. It has no exposed sections or danger zones.
