シュヴァイクハイムの監視塔は、ヴィンネンデンの城壁のかつての主な入り口でした。その頑丈な基部の石積は13世紀にまでさかのぼりますが、特徴的な木骨造りの階は1708年の大火の後、再建されました。 現在、この塔は市立博物館として利用されており、訪問者は歴史的な塔の部屋や古い牢屋を見学することができます。

The small green area with the Thieves' Tower also includes a fountain with a sculpture depicting a thief. The Thieves' Tower was once used to house criminals. Therefore, the thief at the fountain also looks up at the tower, true to the motto "I hope they don't catch me."

Initially, the town, along with the settlements of Schulerhof and Stöckenhof, belonged to the municipality of Baach. In 1686, the town was called Bürck bey Bach.
